====== How to know if the Ovislink is installed correctly ======

A good way would be to interrogate the modem by making a PING on the address of the modem

- Start
- Run
- Type "Command" for Win95/98/ME
- Type "CMD" for Win 2000/Win XP
- Command Prompt will open (a little black window)
- Ask the client to type PING 192.168.1.254
- The client should receive the response "Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 4, Lost = 0"
- If the client doesn't recieve this response, it is necessary to fix the properties of the network card (see section "the pages are not being displayed with the Ovislink modem")
- If the customer receives an answer after having made a PING, the modem answers and should be operational.
- If the customer receives "Timeouts Request", see the following section
